The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sought fresh documents from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as part of its ongoing inquiry into alleged financial and administrative irregularities during the nearly 12 year tenure of former BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon.

According to ACC sources, the commission has recently sent three separate letters to the BCB, requesting detailed records relating to projects, financial transactions, contracts and administrative decisions taken during Papon's tenure between October 2012 and August 2024.

The anti graft watchdog is investigating allegations of irregularities in the Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium project in Purbachal, consultant appointments, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) management, development projects and the board's overall financial administration.
