In front of the delegations of various countries of the world attending the last farewell and state mourning ceremony of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran, Iran, Tehran has delivered a unprecedented diplomatic message by reciting specific verses of the Holy Quran without giving any political or bilateral speeches. Considering the depth of world politics and geopolitical relations, different verses were selected for each country in a very well-thought-out and planned way, which not only transformed grief into strength, but also carried a clear psychological and strategic indication of Iran's future position towards enemies and allies.

As one of the most influential superpowers in world politics, when China participated in this mourning ceremony, the main tone of the message recited in their presence was ˆMaintaining global balance and balanced distribution of power, which basically sends a message of strategic partnership and joint resistance against Western dominance.

As the Russian high-level delegation approached the coffin to pay their respects at the memorial, the verse assigned to them was an inspiration to stand together with determination in difficult times.

When the special delegation from Bangladesh was paying their respects at Khamenei's coffin, verses 169 and 170 of the holy Surah Al Imran were recited, which speak of the immortality and dignity of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the path of Allah. Through this message, a deep spiritual call has been conveyed to the people of Bangladesh to stand by the oppressed people of the Muslim Ummah and to fight against injustice without compromise.

On the occasion of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral, Iran has delivered a unprecedented diplomatic message by reciting specific verses of the Holy Quran without giving any political or bilateral speeches.

When the delegation of Saudi Arabia, one of the main strategic allies of the United States in the Middle East, entered the memorial, verse 13 of Surah Al Imran was recited in front of them, which highlights the historical context of the Battle of Badr in Islamic history. This verse clearly states how a small group fighting in the way of Allah defeated a large army of infidels.

In the presence of a high-level delegation led by the Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, the verse was recited emphasizing the greater unity and brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah. The main purpose of this message was to further strengthen Iran's historical religious and cultural ties with its nuclear-armed neighbor.

In the presence of a delegation of freedom-seeking Palestinians, a verse containing an indestructible call to liberate the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque and break the chains of subjugation was recited. This recitation made it clear that Iran's support for the liberation of Palestine and its legitimate rights will remain unwavering.

When representatives of the political and military wings of Hamas came to pay their last respects to the heroic leader, verse 23 of Surah Al-Ahzab was recited in front of them, which basically carries the message of fulfilling the promise made by Allah Almighty to the martyrs. Through this verse, Iran has made it clear that the sacrifices of these frontline fighters of the axis of resistance will not be in vain.

In the presence of the Lebanese Hezbollah delegation, the Quranic verses were read aloud, proclaiming the final victory of the party of Allah or 'Hezbollah' and ensuring the defeat of the enemy.

In the presence of the representatives of the Yemeni Houthi or Ansarullah movement, verses were selected that indicate the divine order to build resistance on land and sea against the oppressive and imperialist forces. This message expressed Tehran's unwavering support and gratitude for the recent heroic role of the Houthis in the Red Sea.

In the presence of the Turkish delegation, the holy verses were read, calling for regional stability, mutual brotherhood between Muslim countries, and vigilance against Western conspiracies. This choice calls for a reassessment of Tehran’s commercial and geopolitical relations with Ankara within the framework of Islamic solidarity.

In the presence of the Qatari delegation, the first three verses of the Holy Surah Al-Fath were recited, which contain the divine declaration of Allah Almighty granting clear victory and forgiving past and future mistakes. This flexible and forgiving message from Iran towards Qatar, which did not directly support the US-Israeli forces in the recent war, sends a positive diplomatic signal.

The verse assigned to the Omani delegation contained a message of peace, mediation and mutual understanding, which is essentially a spiritual reflection of the long-standing tradition of neutral and trustworthy diplomatic relations between the two countries.

When the large Iraqi delegation arrived at the mourning ceremony, verses were read to them indicating the depth of the geographical, religious and spiritual ties between the two countries.

In the presence of the Egyptian delegation, a holy verse was recited, an implicit call to revive historical Islamic traditions and rekindle frosty diplomatic relations between Cairo and Tehran.

When the delegation of the current Taliban administration in Afghanistan stepped onto the stage of mourning in Tehran, verses were recited in their presence, advocating peace as neighbors and maintaining mutual cooperation despite international pressure.

In the presence of the Syrian delegation, verses were recited, honoring Damascus's heroism in enduring the civil war and imperialist aggression that have lasted for more than a decade.

In the presence of the Indonesian delegation, verses were recited, calling for the world’s largest Muslim population to play a more active and leading role in any crisis facing the Ummah.

Iran, without any political rhetoric, used the holy book as a shield to demonstrate its ideological victory and strength, while at the same time providing each delegation with an
unprecedented opportunity to see themselves in the mirror of their own foreign policies.

Standing at this critical juncture in world politics, Iran has very successfully proven how to transform the atmosphere of external mourning into internal and international strength and keep the voice of the oppressed on the world stage forever.
