Urban Gardening Pioneer Rakibul Amin to Receive National Tree Plantation Award

Urban greening advocate Md. Rakibul Amin has been selected for the National Tree Plantation Award 2025 for his outstanding contributions to tree conservation, innovation and sustainable urban development.

Founder of Gardening Bangladesh, Rakibul Amin will receive the award at the opening ceremony of the National Tree Fair on Thursday. Through his organization, he has led more than 100 urban greening projects across Bangladesh and promoted innovative concepts such as "Zero Soil" to expand greenery in cities. Rakibul said the recognition would inspire him to continue working toward a greener and more environmentally sustainable Bangladesh.
