Rakibul to get environment award

For more than a decade, Md. Rakibul Amin has been continuing to transform rooftops, balconies, offices, and indoor spaces into thriving green environments, driven by his vision of bringing nature back to Bangladesh's concrete cities.

In recognition of his contributions, he will receive the National Environment Award 2025 in the Tree Research, Conservation and Innovation category under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change's National Tree Plantation Award.

The award will be presented on Thursday at the inauguration of the month-long National Tree Fair at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. Chief Adviser Tarique Rahman is expected to attend the ceremony as the chief guest.
