Police recovered the bodies of three unidentified men from areas near the University of Dhaka and Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday.
Two bodies were found near the footpath beside Amar Ekushey Hall in the Anandabazar area around 10:30am. They were taken to DMCH, where doctors declared them dead.
Earlier, at around 9:30am, another unidentified man was found unconscious behind the emergency department of DMCH. He was also taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Police said none of the deceased has been identified. All three were believed to be homeless and had reportedly been living on the streets.
Inspector Mohammad Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, said the bodies have been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Authorities are trying to establish their identities, while initial findings suggest they may have died from illness.
