Decision regarding HSC exam will be taken after analyzing the weather condition, said Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milan. He stated decision will be taken after analyzing information from officials.
The Minister said this while facing journalists after releasing the results of the Primary Scholarship Exam-2025 at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Sunday.
The Minister said: ‘The Ministry of Education and relevant officials held a meeting regarding the rain situation in Dhaka. We have been in touch with the DCs of 64 districts and education boards since yesterday (Saturday) to monitor the situation.’
In addition, preparations are in place to hold the examinations later if they need to be postponed in any area. He added that the decision will be made considering the overall situation.
Meanwhile, the government has already postponed all HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chittagong Education Board until July 16 due to continuous rain and floods over the last few days.
This year, the HSC examinations under nine general education boards are being held with uniform question papers. The examinations started on July 2.
Primary and Mass Education State Minister Bobby Hajjaj, Youth and Sports State Minister Mohammad Aminul Haque, Prime Minister's Education Advisor Mahdee Amin, Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Abdul Khalek, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Director General Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel, and Directorate of Primary Education Director General Shahina Ferdousi, among other officials, were present at the press conference.
