System Group stands by flood victims in Satkania

CHATTOGRAM, July 13: System Group has distributed relief materials and cash assistance to flood victims in Satkania upazila of Chattogram district.

Relief materials and cash were distributed among flood-affected families through 11 group leaders in different unions of the upazila on Monday.

System Group Chairman Mohammad Fazlul Azim said continuous heavy rainfall over the past eight days had inundated several areas in southern Chattogram, including Satkania, Lohagara and Banshkhali, leaving many people homeless and in severe distress.

He said many families were struggling without food, while thousands of flood-stricken people had lost their livelihoods. In this situation, System Group had extended support to the affected people as part of its social and humanitarian responsibility.

Fazlul Azim also visited different areas of Satkania and distributed relief materials and financial assistance among the flood victims.

Among those present were Dr. Abu Jafar Quaderi, Chief Adviser of Abul Kashem Foundation; Misbah Uddin Quaderi, Executive Director of System Group; former Chattogram South District Chhatra Dal General Secretary Mohammad Mohsin; BNP leader Syed Noor; and UP member Jafar.
