BGB, police deployed in Dhaka amid student protest

One platoon of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Nilkhet intersection and over 50 police officers have taken positions in the Science Lab intersection amid student march. The Security measures came in response due to the announcement of ‘Long March to the Education Ministry’ program.

Meanwhile, HSC and equivalent examinations are underway in 59 districts today, Wednesday (July 15), despite ongoing student protests. Students have called for nationwide demonstrations following the conclusion of today's exams.

Dhaka students plan to gather at several key points before starting their long march. Their designated gathering spots include the BNS Center in Uttara, Shahbagh, Science Lab, and Moghbazar.

Law enforcement agencies remain on high alert across the capital to prevent any untoward incidents during the movement.
