Five more children died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, while 1,092 children were reported to have either confirmed measles or measles-like symptoms during the same period.
The information was disclosed in the Directorate General of Health Services' (DGHS) latest measles situation report released on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the report, all five deaths recorded in the past 24 hours were among children with measles symptoms. No child died from laboratory-confirmed measles during the reporting period.
Since March 15, a total of 676 children have died with measles symptoms nationwide, while 95 children have died from confirmed measles infections. The combined death toll from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms has now reached 771.
