American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) Executive Director Chowdhury Kaiser Mohammad Riyadh represented Bangladesh at the AmChams of Asia Pacific (AAP) Washington Doorknock 2026 held in Washington, DC, from June 21-24.
The event brought together business leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region for meetings with US lawmakers, Trump administration officials and trade experts to discuss trade, investment and regional economic cooperation.
During the visit, Riyadh met senior US trade and commerce officials, members of Congress and senators. He urged the United States to encourage more investment in Bangladesh and requested a reasonable transition period for the country to meet forced-labour compliance requirements.
He also invited US trade officials to engage with AmCham members during their next visit to Bangladesh and discussed Bangladesh's role in the Indo-Pacific and opportunities to strengthen bilateral economic ties.
The AAP represents 30 American Chambers of Commerce across 26 Asia-Pacific economies, promoting trade and investment between the region and the United States.
