8 more die of measles 197 new cases

Bangladesh has recorded eight deaths with measles symptoms over the past 24 hours, marking the highest single-day toll so far this month.

The latest Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) daily bulletin, published on Thursday, said eight people died with measles symptoms between 8am on Wednesday and the following 24 hours.

The previous highest daily toll this month was reported on Tuesday, when seven such deaths were recorded.

The bulletin also said 197 new measles cases were confirmed during the same period.�"bdnews24
