Iran has attacked Kuwait at least four times in a day. The US forces have been conducting military operations in the country for seven consecutive days, bypassing the Islamabad agreement. The attacks were carried out in Kuwait in response. This has caused a terrible disaster in the flight schedule of Kuwait International Airport. This information was reported in a report by Qatar-based media Al Jazeera on Saturday (July 18).
The report said that Kuwait Airways informed passengers that takeoffs and landings at Kuwait International Airport have been temporarily suspended in light of the recent Iranian attacks.
Earlier, the company said in a post on X that most flight schedules had been changed due to airspace closures.
The company said in a statement that it is urging all passengers to keep an eye on the latest information on their flights, as notifications and text messages will be sent to the phone number registered at the time of booking to inform them of any updated information.
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that airstrike sirens sounded for the fourth time as efforts continued to intercept incoming missiles.
Kuwait's military said in a statement that its air defense systems are currently repelling Iranian missile and drone attacks.
The statement added that the army's General Staff has urged the public not to panic over the sound of the explosions, which are mainly heard when air defense systems intercept missiles and drones.
In a message posted on social media, CENTCOM said, "CENTCOM has been conducting operations in Iran for 7 consecutive nights. We continue our efforts to degrade Iran's military capabilities in accordance with the directives of the Commander in Chief of the US Defense Forces (President Donald Trump).
Iran, on the other hand, has called on the United States to immediately cease its airstrikes. Iranian officials have said that if US forces continue their attacks, "Iran will be forced to engage in a full-scale war."
In a message immediately after Friday night's attack, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Iran's supreme leader, said that if the US continues such attacks, Iran will not limit itself to counterattacks; it will engage in a full-scale war, and no political border (in the Middle East Gulf region) will be secure.
