Four more children died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, while 1,051 children were newly reported with confirmed measles or suspected measles symptoms during the same period.
The information was disclosed in the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)'s latest measles situation report released on Sunday afternoon.
According to the report, the four children who died were all classified as suspected measles cases, while no deaths from laboratory-confirmed measles were recorded during the reporting period.
Of the four children who died with measles symptoms, three were from the Dhaka Division and one was from the Sylhet Division.
Since March 15, a total of 693 children have died with measles symptoms nationwide, while 95 children have died from confirmed measles infections. The combined death toll from confirmed and suspected measles cases has now reached 788.
