Four more children died of measles symptoms in the country over the last 24 hours.
With these latest fatalities, the total death toll from measles and its symptoms has reached 820 since March 15 this year.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in its updated daily measles report on Sunday.
According to the report, 1,160 new cases of measles and its symptoms were detected across the country in a single day, pushing the overall infection tally higher.
The DGHS stated that along with strengthening the vaccination campaign to curb the spread of measles, priority is being given to ensuring prompt medical treatment for infected patients.
To prevent measles, health authorities advised parents to ensure timely vaccination for children and urged them to contact the nearest health center immediately if symptoms such as fever or skin rashes appear.
