Rain, thunderstorms likely in 8 districts by noon

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds in eight districts by noon on Monday.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the BMD’s Storm Warning Centre, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet may experience temporary rain or thundershowers with winds blowing from the west or northwest at speeds of 40-60 km/h.

The department has advised river ports in the affected areas to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 1.
