
The bodies of two unidentified elderly women were recovered from behind the One Stop Crisis Center at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday morning.
According to DMCH Ward Master Ayub, the women, believed to be around 60 and 58 years old, were found unconscious behind the Office of Emergency Services (OCS) building around 10:00am. Hospital authorities, with assistance from the police camp, took them to the emergency department, where doctors declared them dead.
Police said the victims were initially believed to be homeless. DMCH Police Camp In-charge Inspector Md. Faruk said the bodies have been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Efforts are underway to identify the women, and Shahbagh Police Station has been informed.
