Missing Biman flight attendant in UAE police custody

A cabin crew member of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, who went missing on duty, has been arrested by UAE CID police.
Mirza Adnan, went missing five days ago in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Later Abu Dhabi branch of the country's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police confirmed his detainment.
Emirati authorities have not yet specified the charges or suspicions under which he was taken into custody.
Speaking on Monday afternoon, Biman's acting general manager of public relations, Muhammad Mohiuddin, said, "That cabin crew went to operate the flight. Immigration detained him there."
Regarding the grounds for detention, Mohiuddin added, "Immigration does not provide information on the reason for his detention. They will investigate internally and release him or take action accordingly if he has committed any crime."
When inquired if Biman had taken any step regarding the matter, Mohiuddin mentioned that he was checking with the Flight Operations Department and lacked further information at that moment.
Contacted over the issue, Director of Flight Operations Captain AKM Aminul Islam claimed he was unaware of the situation, advising to contact Biman's public relations department and subsequently its customer service department.
Meanwhile, a source at Biman's Sharjah station reported that Mirza Adnan went missing from Sharjah Airport while on duty on July 22. It was later revealed that he was detained by Sharjah Airport immigration authorities following the operation of Biman flight BG-151.
He was subsequently handed over from Sharjah to the Abu Dhabi CID Police for further questioning and investigation, where he currently remains in custody.
Biman's Sharjah station manager Zakir Hossain confirmed, "He was arrested by Sharjah CID police and handed over to Abu Dhabi CID. Later, the Abu Dhabi police station contacted Biman's Abu Dhabi station and the Bangladesh Embassy regarding the matter. The embassy is aware of the matter."
