'No to teaching jobs for fascist aides'

Former interim government adviser Mahfuz Alam called for the inclusion of a provision in university legislation barring individuals whom he alleged had supported "fascism" or defended enforced disappearances, killings and the July massacres from holding teaching positions at public universities.

In a post published on his verified Facebook account on Wednesday, Mahfuz argued that such a legal provision would automatically disqualify "agents or allies of fascism" from enjoying institutional privileges.
