PM’s aide accuses NCP of pursuing fraudulent politics 

BNP leader and Political Assistant to Prime Minister (PM) Rashed Khan has  accused National Citizen Party (NCP) of pursuing what he described as "fraudulent politics" under the banner of a "new political settlement", alleging that the party was being guided by the "brains of Jamaat".

He made the remarks on Thursday while responding to questions from journalists after a views-exchange meeting with officials of different government departments at the District Commissioner's auditorium.

Criticising the NCP's political narrative, Rashed Khan said the party's campaign for a new political settlement was misleading.
"They are engaging in fraudulent politics by talking about a new political settlement. They are being guided by the brains of Jamaat," he said.

Referring to the recent unrest surrounding the NCP's programmes in Sylhet, Rashed alleged that the confrontation stemmed from remarks made by NCP leaders against a popular member of parliament.

"The Sylhet incident occurred because NCP leaders made derogatory remarks about a popular MP. Merely because they played a role in the mass uprising does not exempt them from responsibility for their actions," he said.

He urged the NCP leadership to pursue what he described as healthy democratic politics.

"They should practise healthy politics. Otherwise, they will receive an appropriate response," he warned.
