14,384 pri teachers joining on Oct 29

Government has set October 29 as joining date for 14,384 recommended candidates as assistant teachers in public primary schools across the country. The decision was announced following an emergency virtual meeting on teacher recruitment held at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Saturday.

Over the meeting, Secretary of the ministry Md. Sakhawat Hossain said the government is giving priority to completing the recruitment process for the recommended candidates.

“The appointment process was delayed due to investigations and procedural complexities. We expect the 14,384 recommended assistant teachers to join their respective posts on October 29,” he said.
