Authorities have suspended all parasailing operations across Cox’s Bazar following the death of a tourist in a parasailing accident.
The district administration said the ban will remain in effect at all parasailing points until the investigation is completed and necessary safety measures are ensured.
The administration has taken a tough stance since the incident. On Sunday afternoon, officials conducted a drive at the Darianagar parasailing point using an excavator. After hours of effort, workers from the Cox’s Bazar municipality demolished the facilities of Fly Air Sea Sports, which authorities said had continued operating in violation of restrictions.
Parasailing equipment was also seized during the operation.
