CID ordered to reinvestigate murder of JCD Parvez

The case was filed by the victim's cousin, Humayun Kabir. Police later submitted a charge sheet against nine people, including two women, while recommending that eight others, including Banani unit Anti-Discrimination Student Movement joint convener Sobhan Niaz Tushar, be discharged due to insufficient evidence.

Challenging the recommendation, the complainant filed a protest petition, alleging the investigation was flawed. Following the hearing, the court ordered the CID to reinvestigate the case.

According to the chargesheet, the fatal attack stemmed from a dispute between the two student groups that escalated into violence despite earlier intervention by university teachers. Parvez(24), was a resident of Bhaluka in Mymensingh.
