Released on bail, rearrested with yaba in Noakhali

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has arrested a man named Md. Sohag, 36 for allegedly resuming drug trading shortly after securing bail in Noakhali Sadar Upazila.
DNC officials recovered 300 Yaba pills from his possession.
The operation was conducted on Tuesday (August 4) afternoon at his residence in Abdul Kader Majhi's house in East Maijchara village under Andarchar Union. Local residents assisted the DNC team during the drive.
The arrestee, Sohag, is the son of Rafiq Ullah from East Maijchara village.
The DNC stated that they seized 300 Yaba tablets weighing 28 grams from Sohag's possession. A case has been filed against him at Sudharam Model Police Station under Section 36(1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.
Subrata Sarkar Shuvo, Deputy Director of Noakhali District DNC, confirmed the matter. Inspector Mohammad Saiful Islam filed the case as the plaintiff. He added that such anti-narcotics drives will continue.
