Zelenskyy visits Serbia as Russian strikes kill 4 in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned Russia’s latest missile and drone attacks on Kyiv while visiting Serbia on Saturday, marking his first official trip to the Moscow-friendly nation in eight years.
According to AP news, Russian overnight strikes killed four people in the Kyiv region, including a three-year-old child and his grandparents, after multiple drones flattened a family home in Brovary district.
At a joint press conference in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic described Ukraine as a "friendly nation" and reaffirmed Belgrade's respect for Ukraine's territorial integrity despite maintaining ties with Moscow.
Zelenskyy warned that deliveries of US-made Patriot air defence interceptors have dropped significantly in 2026 compared to last year. He noted that Washington agreed to permit Ukrainian domestic production of Patriot missiles, but the process remains stalled in administrative delays.
Ukraine's air force reported intercepting 135 of 151 drones launched by Russian forces overnight alongside six ballistic missiles. Last month, Ukraine's air defences shot down roughly 5,300 of the 9,000 missiles and drones fired by Russia.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian long-range drones struck the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia's southern Krasnodar region and the Syzran Oil Refinery in Samara, injuring six people and furthering fuel shortages inside Russia.
