Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the Al-Jamiautul Islamia Azizul Ulum Babunagar Madrasa at Fatikchhari in Chittagong on Sunday afternoon to meet with Hifazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Ameer Muhibullah Babunagari.
The Prime Minister arrived by helicopter at the Pehelgazi Dighi field around 3:30PM, where he waved to local residents gathered to greet him before traveling to the madrasa by road.
Following his meeting with the Hifazat chief, the Prime Minister proceeded to Hathazari upazila to visit the grave of late Hifazat founder Shah Ahmad Shafi at Al Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Muinul Islam Madrasa.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Tarique attended a rehabilitation program for flood victims in Banshkhali upazila.
In the morning, he inspected key infrastructure projects in Cox's Bazar's Moheshkhali, including the Matarbari Deep Sea Port, the Coal Power Project, and ongoing operations under the Moheshkhali Integrated Development Authority (MIDA).
