25 Entrepreneurs Trained at Mercantile Bank’s Ctg Program

Mercantile Bank PLC has successfully conducted a one-month (100-hour) specialized training program titled “Entrepreneurship Development” in Chattogram to develop skilled entrepreneurs.

The training was arranged under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP). The program is implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance with funding support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It was held under the overall supervision of the SME & Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.

A total of 25 entrepreneurs successfully completed the training course and received certificates at the closing ceremony recently.

Md. Shaiful Alam Chowdhury, Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Head of Chittagong Regional Office at Mercantile Bank, presided over the event.

Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank and Deputy Project Director of SICIP, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Meanwhile, Mohammad Nizamul Hoque, Head of SME Financing Division of Mercantile Bank, was present as the Special Guest.

Branch Managers of Mercantile Bank’s Chittagong region, alongside officials from the bank's Head Office and Regional Office, were also present at the ceremony.
