FENI, Aug 10: Feni Girls Cadet College has maintained its strong performance in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, with 55 of its 56 candidates securing GPA-5 this year.
College Principal Colonel SM Faisal confirmed the result on Monday.
He said the institution has maintained its position among the top-performing educational institutions under the Cumilla Education Board since its establishment.
“Proper guidance from army personnel, timely initiatives by the college administration, sincere teaching and motivation from faculty members, and the cadets’ continued hard work have contributed to this success,” he said.
The principal said the college had achieved a similar result last year, when 51 of its 52 SSC candidates secured GPA-5.
He attributed the institution’s consistent academic performance to its disciplined environment, strict regulations and modern teaching methods.
“Regular study, discipline and perseverance can help students achieve significant results even within a limited academic period. Our cadets have repeatedly proved this,” he said.
Meanwhile, the overall SSC pass rate in Feni district stood at 72.62 per cent this year, according to Cumilla Education Board sources.
A total of 14,900 students from 189 schools in the district appeared in the examinations, with 10,821 passing.
Of them, 1,139 students secured GPA-5.
Five schools in the district achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.
