IGP among 92 police officials to receive medals

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir and 91 other members of Bangladesh Police are set to receive police medals in recognition of acts of courage, exceptional service, investigation of important and sensational cases, and innovative initiatives.
A notification was issued in this regard on Monday which was signed by Nasrin Sultana, deputy secretary of the Police-2 branch.
According to the notification, the medals have been awarded for achievements between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026.
The 92 police personnel will receive awards under four categories: the Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM), Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM)-Service, President’s Police Medal (PPM), and President’s Police Medal (PPM)-Service.
