2 Bangladeshi schools successful in UAE SSC results

A total of 87 students have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination this year from two Bangladeshi schools in the United Arab Emirates.
A total of 93 students appeared for the examination from the two institutions. Among them, the Bangladesh English Private School in Ras Al Khaimah, located in the Northern Emirates, achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, while the Sheikh Zayed Bangladesh Islamia Private School in Abu Dhabi recorded a pass rate of 87.76 per cent.
There was considerable anxiety among students and parents of the two Bangladeshi schools in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah as they waited for the SSC results. Finally, when the results were published online, celebrations erupted at both educational institutions.
The joy was particularly visible among students and parents of the Bangladesh English Private School in Ras Al Khaimah. Following the publication of the results, students were seen celebrating with their parents, accompanied by drums and other festivities.
At the Bangladesh English Private School in Ras Al Khaimah, 44 students appeared for the SSC examination this year. Of them, eight students achieved GPA-5, 30 secured an ‘A’, and six obtained an ‘A-’. Thus, all 44 students who appeared from the institution successfully passed the examination.
Meanwhile, 49 students appeared for the SSC examination from Sheikh Zayed Bangladesh Islamia Private School in Abu Dhabi. Among them, one student achieved GPA-5, 15 secured an ‘A’, 17 obtained an ‘A-’, seven received a ‘B’, and three received a ‘C’. Six students failed the examination.
As a result, 43 students passed, bringing the school’s overall pass rate to 87.76 per cent.
The 100 per cent success rate at Bangladesh English Private School in Ras Al Khaimah brought immense joy to students and parents. Following the publication of the results, many parents were seen distributing sweets among the students. The successful students expressed their hopes of pursuing higher education at renowned institutions in Bangladesh and abroad.
Parents said that if Bangladeshi expatriates encourage their children to study at Bangladeshi schools while living abroad, these institutions will become stronger and more self-sufficient. They also believe that such schools can play an important role in promoting Bangladeshi education and culture on foreign soil.
Established in 1991, Bangladesh English Private School in Ras Al Khaimah began its academic activities in 1992. Over the past 35 years, the institution has produced numerous students and contributed significantly to their education. Students, parents and members of the community hope that the institution will continue to serve as a beacon of education and bring pride and recognition to Bangladesh abroad.
