Don denied bail in Salman Shah murder case

A Dhaka court on Wednesday rejected the bail petition of villain actor Ashraful Haq Don in connection with the actor Salman Shah murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Ehsanul Islam passed the order after hearing the petition.

Advocate Tarikul Islam Jewel appeared for Don during the hearing. Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Omar Farooq Farooqui opposed the bail plea on behalf of the state.

After hearing both sides, the court turned down the bail request.

Earlier on Sunday, law enforcers arrested Don from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Later, the court sent him to prison on the same day.

The death of popular film actor Salman Shah remains a widely discussed case, drawing fresh attention at various stages of investigation and judicial proceedings.
