Meteor shower to light up Bangladesh skies today

A spectacular celestial display could light up the night sky early Thursday, with the annual Perseid meteor shower visible from Bangladesh as well.
The Perseids will reach their peak from the night of August 12 through the early hours of August 13.
If the sky remains clear and dark, skywatchers may be able to see a relatively large number of meteors during the peak period.
Best spots in Bangladesh to enjoy this meteor shower are Cox's Bazar, Saint Martin's Island, Ruma or Thanchi, Bandarban, and Lawachara National Park, Sylhet.
