Cristiano Ronaldo sent a heartfelt message of support to long-time rival Lionel Messi following the passing of Messi's father and agent, Jorge Messi.

On Wednesday, the Argentina captain broke his public silence for the first time since his father's death, sharing an emotional social media tribute to honor his memory.

Jorge Messi passed away at the age of 68 in Rosario, Argentina. While the exact cause of death was not formally disclosed, local reports noted he had been undergoing treatment for health issues.

Reaching out during this difficult period, Cristiano Ronaldo posted a supportive message on social media:

"I hope you can find the strength to pull through. Thinking of you, Leo! Sending you and your family lots of love!"

Following his father's passing, an emotionally overwhelmed Messi reflected on his grief and admitted to questioning whether he would continue his professional football career.

Throughout Messi’s iconic career, Jorge served not only as his father but also as his close friend, manager, and primary representative.

Several prominent football personalities also posted tributes and extended their support to Messi, including Argentina teammates Ángel Di María and Thiago Almada, alongside Arturo Vidal and Richarlison.
