Six more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, while another 1,101 children were reported to have measles or measles-like symptoms during the same period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in its regular measles report on Sunday.
According to the DGHS, six children died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 80 children were confirmed to have measles, while another 1,021 developed measles-like symptoms.
According to DGHS data, 809 children have died with measles symptoms across the country since March 15. During the same period, 99 children died after being confirmed with measles, bringing the total death toll to 908.
The report also said 17,880 children have been confirmed with measles since March 15, while a total of 142,797 children have developed measles-like symptoms during the period.
Of them, 124,457 children were admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms. A total of 119,939 children have recovered after treatment and been discharged from hospitals.
