Spider-Man: Brand New Day has crossed $2 billion at the worldwide box office, becoming the eighth film ever to reach the milestone and one of the fastest films to do so.
The Tom Holland-led superhero film reached the mark during its third weekend, with its global performance helping drive a strong summer at the box office. It is now the second-fastest film to reach $2 billion, behind Avengers: Endgame, which reached the milestone in 11 days.
The film has earned more than $785 million in North America and around $1.24 billion internationally, including more than $210 million in China, according to current box-office reports. Its worldwide total has surpassed $2.02 billion.
The achievement puts Brand New Day among a select group of films to cross the $2 billion mark, alongside Avatar, Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water, Titanic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Infinity War.
The film has also surpassed Spider-Man: No Way Home, which earned about $1.92 billion worldwide, making Brand New Day the highest-grossing film in the Spider-Man franchise.
