Once a popular actress, Sabrina Saka Mim’s life has changed over the years.
Her physical appearance has also changed significantly. At first glance, her fans and admirers may even find it difficult to recognize her.
Around 14 years ago, Mim married Dr. Shahriar Ahmed Sajib. However, the actress has revealed that the marriage has ended.
The couple got divorced eight years ago. Mim has now disclosed the news herself.
Appearing as a guest on singer Putul’s podcast, Mim spoke about the breakdown of her marriage. She said she believes that people cannot write their own destinies. Like any other woman, she got married hoping that everything would go well. She also tried to make the marriage work, and she believes her partner did the same. However, despite their efforts, the marriage could not survive.
Sabrina Saka Mim entered the entertainment industry as a child artist in the 1990s. She later established herself in the television drama scene through her acting talent. On December 7, 2012, she married Dr. Shahriar Ahmed Sajib in a family-arranged ceremony.
After her marriage, Mim completely withdrew from acting because her in-laws objected to her continuing her acting career.
When asked whether this was the reason behind the breakdown of her marriage, Mim said that people have different preferences. Someone may like music while another person may not. Similarly, she likes acting, but someone else may not like it. She said these were not the main issues, adding that there were many other problems that gradually became worse over time.
She further said she would not blame anyone. “Maybe I was also at fault, and maybe he, the person I married, was also at fault,” she said. When she realized that the marriage was not working, she waited for five and a half years because she did not want to feel that she had failed to make an effort to save the marriage. She eventually signed the divorce papers on June 7, 2018.
Sabrina Saka Mim has lost faith in relationships. Over the past eight years, the actress has not had the courage to start a new marriage.
She entered the showbiz industry through a music programme during her childhood and began acting in Bangladesh Television dramas in 1992. As an adult, she appeared in lead female roles in television dramas. After working in the media for around 18 years, Mim gradually withdrew from the industry. She was last seen in a drama in 2012. She later worked as a news presenter but never returned to acting
