Brazil explore Bangladesh Friendly as delegation inspects National Stadium

 
A five-member delegation from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) inspected the National Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday, exploring the possibility of Brazil playing a future match in Bangladesh. 

The delegation examined the pitch, drainage system, grass, dressing rooms, galleries and media facilities, according to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Ground Committee Chairman Iqbal Hossain.

"They want to play against any country or even Bangladesh in the future," Iqbal told reporters after the inspection. He added that the visitors could also consider the Dhaka venue for a match against another opponent on neutral ground.

However, no decision has yet been taken. The Brazilian officials are expected to provide their formal assessment after reviewing the visit, and may return for another inspection once the remaining renovation work is completed. 

The visit comes amid Brazil's forthcoming Asian trip. The five-time world champions are scheduled to play Australia in Townsville on September 25 and Brisbane on September 29 before facing India in Kolkata on October 3. The India-Brazil fixture has already been officially confirmed by the All India Football Federation.
