Low gas pressure shuts two Bhaluka factories, affects five more

In the wake of gas pressure being low, two factories have stopped operations while another five are operating partially. This has affected about 1,044 workers.

Operations have been halted at the two factories since Thursday and there have not been any further shutdowns and workers leaving work as of Sunday noon.

According to industrial police, these two factories include Russell Spinning Mills of Osman Group and Excellent Tiles located in Kathali area. The first factory employed 672 workers while the second 372 workers.

Russell Spinning Mills started giving leaves to its workers from Wednesday and operations in the factories have been stopped since Thursday.

At the same time, gas-based plants in Excellent Ceramic, Saudi Bangla Feeds, Akbar Cotton, Denis Multipurpose, and Tallu Spinning Mills continue their operations partially.
