SBAC Bank launches Bangla QR payment service

SBAC Bank PLC has launched ‘Bangla QR’ a safe, simple and interoperable digital payment platform introduced by Bangladesh Bank, with the aim of building a cashless economy.

Abdul Quaium Chowdhury, Managing Director (CC) of SBAC Bank, led a rally from the bank’s Head Office on Monday, says a press release.

The rally passed through the Motijheel and Dilkusha areas. 

A digital payment was made at the shop using the bank’s mobile app, ‘BanglaPay.’ SBAC Bank also provided Merchant QR to several other small shops on the same day.

SBAC Bank also handed over a Merchant QR to King’s Confectionery in Motijheel as an acquirer.

Bank’s Deputy Managing Director MdAltaf Hossain Bhuyan, Head of Banking Operations Division Md Masoodur Rahman, Head of Credit Administration Division Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Chief Technology Officer Md Mofazzal Mamun Khan, Head of Retail Distribution Division Md Rashed Akter, Head of Principal Branch Shafiur Rahman, Head of Digital Financial Inclusion Division Mohammad Shafiul Azam, along with senior executives, divisional heads and officials, attended the rally.
