The Embassy of South Korea in Bangladesh is set to open a dedicated Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) in Dhaka to simplify the visa process for Bangladeshi citizens.
The embassy announced that the centre will begin operations on September 2 on Kemal Ataturk Avenue in Banani. Modifications will also be made to the current visa application procedure.
Following the launch of KVAC, all general visa applications and passport returns will be managed exclusively through this centre. However, official and diplomatic visa applications accompanied by diplomatic notes, along with passport distributions for those categories, will continue directly at the embassy.
Under the new system, applicants submitting visa requests through KVAC must schedule an online appointment beforehand. Detailed procedures regarding appointment dates and methods will be released by the embassy in a separate notice. Services related to document notarization and police clearance certificates will remain at the embassy.
Further details covering operating hours, online booking steps, document requirements, fees, and operational guidelines will be announced in due course.
The South Korean Embassy advised prospective applicants to closely follow all upcoming notices regarding the new center. The embassy added that the new facility aims to enhance applicant convenience and deliver more efficient visa services.
