A new address, a renewed vision and a fresh approach to luxury-House of Ahmed has entered a new chapter with the opening of its new outlet at Ventura Mall, Gulshan 2.
Spanning around 4,500 square feet across two floors, the new space is designed to be more than a retail outlet. It brings together couture, craftsmanship and personalised hospitality, offering customers an immersive experience into the world of House of Ahmed.
For co-founder Ahmed Tuhin Reza, Chapter 2 is a deeply personal journey. He says the challenges the brand has faced have strengthened its commitment to its original vision: proving that Bangladesh has the talent, craftsmanship and heritage to create luxury fashion capable of standing confidently on the global stage.
Rooted in Bangladeshi heritage and contemporary design, House of Ahmed combines traditional craftsmanship with modern couture. Techniques and textiles such as zardori and Bangladeshi damdaani form part of its effort to bring the country’s rich artisanal traditions to a wider audience.
The new outlet reflects this philosophy. Customers can explore curated collections while also accessing dedicated spaces for couture, bridal and bespoke consultations. The interiors combine warmth and sophistication, with design elements inspired by the textures and embellishments of the garments themselves.
House of Ahmed’s collections include couture, bridal, festive and occasion wear, but the brand is also broadening its interpretation of luxury. Its Friday Signature Collection offers premium everyday wear, creating a more accessible entry into the House of Ahmed experience.
Personalisation remains central to the brand. Through bespoke consultations, customers can work with the team on silhouettes, fabrics, colours, embroidery, fittings and finishing details to create garments that reflect their individual personalities.
Bridal couture receives particular attention. From understanding a bride’s vision and wedding ceremonies to selecting fabrics, silhouettes and embroidery, the brand aims to turn bridal dressing into a personalised journey rather than simply a purchase.
Co-founder Tenzila Elma describes the new chapter as an opportunity to refine and expand the house’s creative identity. For her, luxury is not merely about a garment but also about the hands that create it, the stories it carries and the culture that gives it meaning.
That connection to craftsmanship is supported by a production ecosystem involving more than 500 artisans specialising in embroidery, hand embellishment, textile work and finishing. Some intricate couture pieces can take weeks or months to complete, reflecting the patience and precision behind each creation.
Chapter 2 also introduces Ilaf, a new proposition aimed at a younger and more versatile customer. While House of Ahmed remains focused on couture and occasion-led luxury, Ilaf will offer traditional craftsmanship through a more contemporary and everyday-oriented design language, at a comparatively accessible price point.
The brand’s ambition extends beyond its new Gulshan address. House of Ahmed aims to strengthen its couture offering, expand its retail and international presence and develop new propositions while continuing to invest in Bangladeshi craftsmanship.
Ultimately, Chapter 2 represents more than a new outlet. It is an attempt to redefine how Bangladeshi heritage can live within contemporary luxury-preserving tradition while giving it a confident new voice.
With Bangladesh at its heart and a global audience in sight, House of Ahmed is making its next move not simply as a fashion brand, but as a house seeking to put “Luxury Made in Bangladesh” firmly on the world stage.
