Khulna police seize gold, diamond jewellery

A 46-year-old man with a huge amount of gold and diamond jewellery has been arrested in Khulna.

According to reports, Md Saidul was apprehended at about midday on Friday (August 28) at a police checkpost near Zero Point intersection on the Khulna-Satkhira Highway.

According to police, gold chains, 45 diamond studded nose-pins, 12 pairs of earings, eight pendants, three rings and two bracelets were recovered from his possession.

It is reported that Saidul belongs to Muradnagar in Cumilla district and now resides in Keraniganj of Dhaka city.

He has been charged under the provisions of the Special Powers Act, 1974.
