Four die of dengue as daily infections hit record high

Four people died of dengue in Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, while 1,163 new cases were reported�"the highest single-day figure this year.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released the figures in its daily dengue bulletin on Monday.

With the latest deaths, the dengue death toll this year has risen to 97, while the total number of confirmed cases stands at 35,846.

On Sunday, three people died of dengue and 1,097 new cases were reported, according to the DGHS.
