English Premier League champions Arsenal have won both of their matches in the new season. After a 3-0 victory over Coventry, they defeated Aston Villa 1-0.

Arsenal secured the win yesterday, Monday, thanks to a second-half goal from Bukayo Saka.

Saka put Arsenal ahead in the 59th minute, finding the net from close range. Although Arsenal dominated the match and played patiently, they struggled to put much pressure on Villa’s well-organized defense.

Aston Villa, however, created the best chance of the first half. Emi Buendía’s shot struck the crossbar and bounced back.

After losing several key players during the summer transfer window, Aston Villa’s Europa League-winning squad from last season has been significantly weakened. They have yet to earn a point or score a goal in their two matches so far this season.

With the victory, Arsenal moved to six points. Manchester City, Hull City and Chelsea also have six points.

Meanwhile, Villa, who remain without a point or a goal, will look to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
