Measles claims 6 more lives

 
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has reported that Six more children have died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours leading up to 8:00am on Tuesday, raising the overall death toll from the ongoing outbreak to 979.

It said on Tuesday in their daily measles report that no one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. Among the six new suspected fatalities, two each death reported in Dhaka, Sylhet, and Barishal division. With the latest figures, the total number of suspected measles deaths has reached 880, while the number of confirmed deaths remained unchanged at 99, as no new confirmed measles deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the DGHS.
