A teacher in Madhabdi, Narsingdi, is being sued for allegedly having his students do the evaluation of Alim examination papers rather than doing it himself.

Md Nasir Uddin, the accused, who is an assistant professor of Islamic History at Gadairchar Achia Islamia Alim Madrasah, has been stripped of his position as an examiner and permanently banned from Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board examination activities.

This came after a social media video went viral showing a student doing the evaluation of paper. An investigation revealed that Nasir Uddin had his students do the evaluation of Islamic History papers in the 2026 Alim examination.

On Wednesday, a case was filed against him at Madhabdi Police Station by the deputy controller of examinations of the board under the Public Examinations (Offences) Act, 1980.
