Rashid Khan blames interim Govt for current crisis

Assistant to Prime Minister Rashid Khan has said that insulting the prime minister's parents over inconsistencies in electricity bills is unacceptable whereas putting the blame on the interim government for the country’s present predicament is not acceptable either.

In a Facebook post on Friday morning, Khan accused the interim government of spending 18 months making plans in order to put the elected government in difficulty and make the people realize that "We were better off during the times of Sheikh Hasina and Dr Yunus."

Commenting on a young man who was detained by the police for allegedly making insulting remarks about Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his parents over the internet, Khan expressed that legal action must be taken in such instances.

Khan said that the person had used "obscene and vulgar language" against the prime minister's parents and warned that if any action was not taken then this trend would become social disease and disturb the social and state stability.

Moreover, Khan added that people facing problems regarding electricity bill should approach the nearest electricity office instead of making such abuses.

Commenting on the policy of previous interim government, Khan accused the government of canceling deals of LNG terminal and construction of 37 solar projects.
