Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah-ul-Azim has left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on an official visit.
He departed Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Saturday (September 5), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).
During his visit, the Bangladesh Navy chief is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, and the Commander of the Multinational Maritime Defence Coalition.
During the meetings and bilateral discussions, they will exchange views on various issues of mutual interest. They will also discuss ways to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, as well as ongoing cooperation between the two countries' navies.
While in Saudi Arabia, Admiral Misbah-ul-Azim will visit several military and naval installations. He will also exchange views on professional relations, training and various areas of mutual cooperation between the navies of Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
According to the ISPR, the Navy chief's visit is expected to further strengthen mutual cooperation and the fraternal and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
