Khairuzzaman Mazumder reappointed as finance secretary for 1 year

The government has reappointed Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mazumder as secretary of the Finance Division for another year on a contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

According to the notification, the appointment was made under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018, subject to the suspension of his post-retirement leave and related benefits, and the termination of any employment relationship with other professions, businesses, or government, semi-government and private institutions or organisations.

His one-year contractual tenure will take effect from the date he joins the post.

Other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined through a contract, the notification said, adding that the order was issued in the public interest.
