Gold prices fell in the domestic market at the start of the week, with the price of 22-carat gold dropping by Tk 2,216 per bhori.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the revised prices on Sunday, saying the new rates came into effect from the morning.

According to BAJUS, 22-carat gold now costs Tk 2,35,146 per bhori, while 21-carat gold is priced at Tk 2,24,590.

The price of 18-carat gold has been set at Tk 1,92,864 per bhori, while traditional-method gold costs Tk 1,57,522.

BAJUS said the prices were adjusted following a decline in the price of pure gold.

Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged. A bhori of 22-carat silver is priced at Tk 5,132.
