
NATORE, Sept 6: Jatiya Sangsad Whip and MP for Natore-2 Constituency Advocate Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu said the government gave the highest allocation to the education sector in the current budget.
Surplus funds were allotted in this sector than the previous times, he claimed.
He said these as the chief guest after inaugurating the construction works of a building for Madhnagar Degree College in Naldanga Upazila of Natore on Saturday. The construction cost of the building was estimated at Tk 75 lakh.
He further said, “The Awami League government had destroyed the whole education system during the last 17 years. The present government is trying to recover the sector.” He called upon the teachers to make the government’s education policy a success.
Among others, Zilla Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convener Rahim Newaz, Joint Conveners Mustafizur Rahaman Shahin and Saiful Islam Aftab, Jubo Dal President A Hye Talukder, Naldanga Upazila BNP former organising secretary Shafiqul Islam Bulbul, Naldanga Municipality former mayor Abbas Ali Nannu, Madhnagar Union BNP former president Md Matinur Rahaman Mridha and Madhnagar Degree College Principal Khondoker Abdul Malek were present at the event.
